Raimondo’s

The client was preparing to branch out on his own, launching a new Sicilian Restaurant on Lygon St. He sought a captivating brand identity that would stand out in a very competitive market and that would not only stand the test of time but represent his quirky personality, love for cuisine and passion for Sicily.

CHALLENGE

Create a brand mark and logo that not only captured the personality of the founder and head chef but that could also be adapted for future owners if the restaurant were to be sold in the future.

This brand mark was then to be adapted across multiple mediums, including signage, menus and business cards.

SOLUTION

Gloss Design developed a brand mark that incorporated the founders iconic moustache and a subtle hint to the olives that Sicily is famous for. This could be used as a lone standing icon or with the entire logo. The moustache was also isolated and used as a second element to highlight the moustache and waves, another reference to the Mediterranean island.
